Kings, Casspi reportedly talking reunion

Mark D. Smith / USA TODAY Sports

Omri Casspi doesn't want to change zip codes. Luckily for him, the Sacramento Kings share that sentiment.

The Kings are looking to re-sign the unrestricted free agent, according to Ailene Voisin of the Sacramento Bee.

The Kings drafted Casspi with the No. 23 pick in the 2009 draft. The lanky, 6-9 small forward played with the Kings in his rookie and sophomore seasons before spending two years with the Cleveland Cavaliers and one with the Houston Rockets.

Sacramento brought the Israeli back for the 2014-15 campaign, in which he recorded the best PER (14.4) of his career.

An effective slasher and 3-point shooter (40.2 percent last season), Casspi provided relief at the perimeter, spelling Rudy Gay and Ben McLemore as a backup wing (21.1 minutes per game).

In addition, the team has reportedly shown interest in free agent Rajon Rondo.
