Khris Middleton: Nearing Five-Year Deal

Middleton is close to signing a five-year, $70 million deal with the Bucks, Mark Stein of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Middleton indicated earlier in the offseason that he would prefer to stay with the Bucks, and the team seemed to make signing him a priority as well. In his third NBA season and first under new head coach Jason Kidd, Middleton continued to flourish, averaging 13.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.5 steals in 30 minutes. With the deal, he'll remain a centerpiece for the Bucks for at least the next five seasons.
