A record-breaking reunion between manager Alan Pardew and Yohan Cabaye is reportedly on the horizon.

Crystal Palace is in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a £10-million transfer involving Cabaye, who is tempted at the prospect of rejoining Pardew. Such a deal would amount to a club-record transfer fee for Palace, according to Dominic Fifield from the Guardian.

It was reported in early June that Palace had launched a bid to sign Cabaye, and PSG is apparently willing to allow the 29-year-old midfielder to leave. Meanwhile, Palace is allegedly willing to pay wages to top anything earned by a player at Selhurst Park to maintain its progress after five years of constant growth.

Cabaye, who made only 13 Ligue 1 starts for Paris Saint-Germain in 2014-15 due to a mix or injuries and a limited role, voiced his frustration at featuring as a substitute near the beginning of his first season at the Parc des Princes, saying, "I am not satisfied with the situation. Am I completely happy? To be honest, no."

Pardew and Cabaye worked together at Newcastle United before the player joined PSG in January 2014.
