Free-agent power forward/center Greg Monroe will meet with four teams in the first 24 hours of NBA free agency – the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, and Portland Trail Blazers – according to USA Today's Jeff Zillgitt.

The report also indicates that Monroe will be seeking a three-year deal with the ability to opt out after two seasons in 2017. That's expected to be par for the course with signings this summer, as players and agents lick their chops with visions of a skyrocketing salary cap after next year.

Both Monroe and the Detroit Pistons have all but conceded that his days in Motown are over, and the Knicks remain the consensus pick to land his services, assuming New York fails to land LaMarcus Aldridge. Monroe's post play and passing skills would be an ideal fit for the triangle offense, something the Lakers also employ aspects of.

While far from an all-around big man, Monroe is a solid offensive option down low. With Aldridge and David West reportedly ranking the Knicks low on their wish list, president Phil Jackson could be looking hard at Monroe as the best option available.

The Georgetown product averaged a career-high 10.2 rebounds per game this season and was .1 points off a career-high in scoring at 15.9.
