Islanders, Lee agree to 4-year deal

Uniondale, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Islanders and forward Anders Lee agreed to terms on a four-year contract on Tuesday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the club, but multiple reports state its average annual value is $3.75 million for the duration.

"Anders has proven to be an effective goal scorer over his two seasons with the club," Islanders general manager Garth Snow said. "We're thrilled to have another home-grown talent signed long term."

The 24-year-old Notre Dame product finished his first full NHL season with 25 goals and 16 assists over 76 games. His 41 points placed fourth among all first-year players.

Lee was fined almost $2,300 for an elbowing incident in a Dec. 6 game against St. Louis defenseman Carl Gunnarsson.

Over 100 games in parts of three seasons on Long Island, Lee has totaled 35 goals and 22 assists.
