If there's one thing the reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors need more of, it's sharpshooting guards with a knack for making it rain from beyond the arc.

Insert sarcastic tone here.

The Warriors are interested in San Antonio Spurs shooting guard Marco Belinelli, who will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, Yahoo Sports' Marc Spears reports.

Belinelli was drafted by the Warriors with the No. 18 pick in the 2007 NBA Draft and played two full seasons with the team before being dealt to the Toronto Raptors in 2010 for Devean George.

Following stints with the New Orleans Hornets and Chicago Bulls, the 29-year-old guard signed with the Spurs during the summer of 2013 and won an NBA Championship with the franchise last year.

Belinelli is a career 39.2 percent shooter from 3-point range, although the worst percentage of his career came this past season at just 37.4 percent. Golden State led the league in that department at 39.8 percent, so acquiring another shooter who's fairly one-dimensional in that regard to play behind MVP Steph Curry and Klay Thompson in the backcourt doesn't seem like an urgent enough need.

The Charlotte Hornets are also going to make a move to sign Belinelli when he officially hits the open market on July 1, Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Now there's a team who could use more shooters, as Charlotte finished dead last in the NBA in 3-point shooting (31.8 percent) and 29th in field-goal percentage (42 percent).

The Hornets can offer Belinelli their mid-level exception, while the Warriors will have a tax-payer, mid-level exception which can start at $3.4 million.
