Sonny Gray: Scratched Due To Illness

Gray has been scratched from Tuesday's scheduled start against the Rockies due to an illness, reports Jane Lee of MLB.com.

Analysis:

Gray should have plenty of time to recover before his next start, which is scheduled for Sunday against the Mariners. If he's ready within the next couple days, the A's could shuffle their rotation to fit him in a bit sooner. Chris Bassitt will be called up to start against the Rockies on Tuesday.
