Asmir Begovic looks set for a move to Stamford Bridge after Chelsea agreed to Stoke City's transfer demands.

A day after reportedly seeing their £6-million bid for the Bosnian international get rejected, Chelsea's revised £8-million offer has been accepted, according to Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sports.

The reported deal will see the 'keeper make £4 million per season as he takes over Petr Cech's vacated spot.

Cech left Chelsea for Arsenal on Monday after 11 years with the team because of his lack of playing time behind Thibaut Courtois. Begovic will likely see the pitch more than Cech did in his final season after reports suggested a deal hinged on the amount of playing time manager Jose Mourinho was willing to offer him.

The agreement also doesn't appear to include an exchange of players. Stoke City had hoped for a player swap involving Victor Moses, who spent last season on loan at the Britannia Stadium, but the Nigerian international was reluctant to return.
