Patrick Corbin: (Elbow) Return Targeted For Texas Series July 7-8

Corbin (elbow) will make his return to the D-backs' rotation when they visit Texas on July 7-8, reports Fox Sports Arizona's Kevin Zimmerman.

Analysis:

There is finally a target date for Corbin's anticipated return. It sounds like the Diamondbacks will still proceed cautiously with his initial start, but if he's truly healthy his workload will ramp up quickly. As with all pitchers returning from Tommy John, Corbin will likely not perform up to his past level initially, but he still has an all-star level ceiling.
