The New Orleans Saints could be without cornerback Brian Dixon for part of training camp while he sorts out his legal troubles.

Dixon's trial for resisting arrest without violence has been rescheduled for Aug. 3, Evan Woodbery of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. The Saints open training camp July 29 in West Virginia.

Dixon was arrested March 29 following a traffic stop in Miami Beach. Police said he was "belligerent" and uncooperative while being detained, which he has disputed. Dixon accused the arresting officers of racial bias and asked for his agent to be contacted, according to the police report.

The 25-year-old appeared in all 16 games last season after joining the Saints as an undrafted free agent. He finished with 18 tackles and one forced fumble.
