Edin Dzeko will remain at the Etihad Stadium next season, at least as far as his agent is concerned.

Although the Bosnia-Herzegovina international has been linked with a move to Roma, Dzeko's agent, Irfan Redzepagic, denied claims that discussions between Manchester City and the Serie A outfit had taken place.

The rumours appear to have been inspired by comments from Dzeko's international teammate and Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

Pjanic's comment that Dzeko would seek a move to Roma was coupled with reports from the Italian media suggesting the forward would be part of a swap deal for Serbian international Adem Ljajic.

Redzepagic denied any links to Roma and said he had no idea where Pjanic was getting his information.

"I was frankly surprised by Pjanic's comments, unless he knows something that I don't," Redzepagic told Italian radio station Rete Sport, courtesy of Sky Sports.

"I have had no contact with Roma, nor am I aware of any talks between the two clubs."

Redzepagic went on to say his client is committed to City despite his frustrating season, where Dzeko only managed to score four goals during 23 league appearances.
