Cleveland Indians (34-41) at Tampa Bay Rays (42-36), 7:10 p.m. (ET)

(SportsNetwork.com) - Danny Salazar tries to bounce back from a shaky showing his last time out when the Cleveland Indians play the middle test of their three-game series with the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field.

Salazar lost his second straight decision last Tuesday, as Detroit ripped him for seven runs (6 earned) and six hits in 4 1/3 innings, dropping him to 6-3 on the year to go along with a 4.06 ERA.

"I gave away the game," said Salazar, whose throwing error opened the floodgates for a six-run fifth inning.

Tampa, meanwhile, will turn to righty Erasmo Ramirez, who has won his last four decisions, but left his last start against Cleveland with a groin injury. Ramirez left in the fourth inning of that one, but responded well to a bullpen session on Friday and should be ready to go tonight.

He is 6-2 on the year with a 4.23 ERA.

Cleveland's Cody Anderson took a perfect game into the seventh inning and yielded just two hits through eight in his second major league start to help the Indians to a 7-1 victory.

Anderson (1-0) set down 19 consecutive Rays before giving up a solo home run to onetime Indians star Grady Sizemore. The rookie settled for his first career big league win by permitting just one more batter to reach base before being lifted to begin the ninth inning.

"I knew something special was going on," Anderson admitted when asked if he knew he had a perfect game going. "The changeup was working, and I pounded the zone with the fastball."

Yan Gomes backed Anderson by going 3-for-5 with a solo home run, with Jason Kipnis and Michael Brantley also finishing with three hits and an RBI to help the Indians halt a three-game skid.

Nathan Karns (4-4) surrendered nine hits in six innings in Tampa Bay's sixth loss in eight games, though he managed to limit Cleveland to two runs.

"Our offense has been in a funk," Rays manager Kevin Cash said. "We'll get out of it."

Tampa took two of three from the Tribe last week.
