The Ottawa Senators agreed to terms with defenseman Patrick Mullen on a one-year contract Tuesday, adding depth to the franchise's blue line.

The contract is a two-way deal, worth $600,000 at the NHL level and $150,000 in the AHL.

Mullen, 29, has never appeared in an NHL game.

He spent the 2014-15 season with the AHL's Binghamton Senators, scoring five goals while adding 24 assists and 32 penalty minutes in 54 games.
