Report: Free-agent linebacker Kyle Knox suspended 4 games

Denny Medley / US Presswire

Free-agent linebacker Kyle Knox has been suspended four games, according to Howard Balzer of the lockerdome.com.

The reason for the suspension was not specified.

Knox was cut by the Dallas Cowboys on June 5, only three days after being signed. He appeared in 12 games with the New Orleans Saints last season and made three tackles, playing mainly on special teams.

The 26-year-old has also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Seattle Seahawks since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2012.

Knox would have been a longshot to land with a new team and make a 53-man roster anyway, but this latest news makes his chances of earning a camp invite even slimmer.
