D-backs use long ball to beat Padres

San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jake Lamb went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the San Diego Padres, 6-4, to wrap up a three-game set.

Welington Castillo and David Peralta also homered for Arizona, which snapped a four-game losing streak.

Chase Anderson (4-2) earned the win for pitching seven innings and allowing four runs on five hits.

"My fastball command wasn't that good, so I had to use my off-speed pitches more than I would have liked," said Anderson. "Putting up six runs made it a little easier on me."

Odrisamer Despaigne (3-6) took the loss after giving up five runs -- four earned -- with six strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings.

Derek Norris hit two home runs for the Padres.

"We played well all series," said Norris. "We just had some unfortunate breaks today."

Matt Kemp put the Padres briefly on the top with a solo homer in the first, then Arizona countered with three in the second on Castillo's big fly.

Yasmany Tomas reached base on an error by Will Middlebrooks to start the inning and Lamb followed with a single to set up Castillo's home run two batters later.

Peralta made it 4-1 in the third with his sixth homer of the season.

Yonder Alonso walked to begin the fourth and Norris plated him two batters later with his first dinger of the afternoon.

Despaigne served up Lamb's two-run homer in the sixth, then Norris got a run back in the home half with his second long ball of the day.

Daniel Hudson pitched a scoreless eighth inning and Brad Ziegler came on in the ninth to record his 12th save of the season.

Game Notes

Norris has two career multi-homer games ... Middlebrooks left the game in the seventh inning after appearing to roll his ankle near the on-deck circle attempting to catch a pop up.
