Hummel was extended a qualifying offer by the Timberwolves on Sunday, making him a restricted free agent, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Analysis:

Hummel played in just 45 games last season, finishing with averages of 4.4 points and 3.0 rebounds over 17 minutes per game. As long as he isn't extended an offer by another team that the Timberwolves aren't willing to match, Hummell will return to Minnesota as a depth option behind the likes of Kevin Martin, Zach LaVine, Andrew Wiggins, and Anthony Bennett. He'll likely remain very limited in his potential fantasy output.
