Report: Dolphins aren't expected to pursue Dion Jordan's signing bonus

Miami Dolphins suspended defensive end Dion Jordan may be getting one last chance.

According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the team is not attempting to recoup $3.35 million of Jordan's signing bonus and will consider keeping the disappointing former first-round pick in 2016.

There is a chance the Dolphins will be forced to recoup the money due to language in the collective bargaining agreement, but no decisions have been made yet, according to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.

The Dolphins would be within their rights to pursue that money, as Jordan's violation of the league's drug policy are grounds for forfeiture of the already payed signing bonus.

It seems the Dolphins haven't yet moved on from Jordan even though he has only tallied three sacks in two seasons. He will be in the final year of his fully guaranteed $20.57 million rookie deal after he returns from his year-long suspension.
