Garcia (groin) will be pushed back from his scheduled start Tuesday against the White Sox, Luke Thompson of FOX Sports Midwest reports.

Analysis:

With the Cardinals having an off day Monday, the team will simply move Lance Lynn's turn up a day, keeping him on his normal rest schedule. Garcia, meanwhile, is still a candidate to take the hill Wednesday, but manager Mike Matheny would not commit to using the left-hander just yet. Garcia was forced out of last week's start against the Marlins in the seventh inning due to cramping near his groin area, and he has yet to resume throwing. It appears trainers are still trying to identify the extent of the injury.
