Palo Alto, CA - The San Jose Earthquakes claimed the spoils in the California Clasico on Saturday as Matias Perez Garcia set up a pair of goals in a 3-1 'Quakes win over the Los Angeles Galaxy at Stanford Stadium.

Juninho fired the Galaxy in front in the 17th minute with a long-range rocket, but San Jose equalized in the 28th through Chris Wondolowski.

The 'Quakes then took charge after the break and used goals from Clarence Goodson and Cordell Cato to notch a second successive win, while snapping the Galaxy's two-game winning streak.

Los Angeles came into the game having outscored its last two opponents 10-1, and Juninho got things started in style with a shot from 35 yards that found the bottom right corner of the net.

Jaime Penedo produced a big save to deny Shea Salinas in the 21st, while San Jose goalkeeper David Bingham made a nice double stop, keeping out a free kick from Stefan Ishizaki before stopping Robbie Keane's rebound effort.

Perez Garcia helped level the match in the 28th with a pinpoint cross that Wondolowski volleyed home from eight yards, while he played provider in the 53rd on the go-ahead goal for Goodson with a corner kick that the United States international got up to head home.

The assist was the sixth in the last seven games for Perez Garcia, putting San Jose in front 2-1, while Cato secured the win in the 72nd when he beat defender Dan Gargan and fired a shot past Penedo.
