Report: Mutual interest between Pacers and Stuckey; Rockets, Kings also interested

The interest is mutual between the Indiana Pacers and free agent Rodney Stuckey.

Stuckey signed a one-year minimum deal with Indiana last season and flourished as a bench contributor. The two parties are interested in a reunion, reports Shams Charania of RealGM.

However, Stuckey also has suitors in the Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings, should the Pacers fail to re-sign the 29-year-old combo guard.

Stuckey spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Detroit Pistons, who tried Stuckey in a myriad of different roles. Stuckey always had the ability to get to the basket and to pass, but he was plagued by an inability to shoot. He shot 28.6 percent from deep during his time with the Pistons.

However, Stuckey upped his average to 39 percent on threes last season, while playing with scant offensive talent in Indiana. Stuckey finished the season with averages of 12.6 points, three rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 26.4 minutes per game.

Stuckey's strong preference is to stay in Indiana, but the chance to compete for a title also holds intrigue. That should rank the Rockets ahead of the Kings in the event that Stuckey decide to leave Indiana.

Either way, after a solid season, Stuckey is due for a raise.
