Hibbert opted into the final year of his contract with the Pacers on Thursday, Zach Lowe of Grantland reports.

Analysis:

Hibbert is due to make north of $15 million next season in the final year of the four-year, $58.4 million deal he inked prior to the 2012 season. Hibbert averaged 10.6 points and 7.1 rebounds last season while playing just 25.3 minutes per game. Judging from some of the team's comments this offseason, the Pacers were prepared to move on without Hibbert, whose game is somewhat limiting, as he's unable to stretch the floor and struggles against certain matchups. It will certainly be interesting to see where Hibbert fits next season, especially considering Indiana's selection of big man Myles Turner with the 11th overall pick in Thursday's draft.
