Trey Lyles: Selected By Jazz at 12

Lyles was drafted by the Jazz with the 12th pick of the 2015 NBA Draft.

Analysis:

Lyles comes by way of the platoon system at Kentucky where he only averaged 8.7 points and 5.2 rebounds after 23 minutes per game during his lone season in college. He seems to be destined for a role off the bench in Utah regardless of whether he spends time at the three or four, with perennial starters Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors not leaving much room to grow into a starter's role. Add to the mix potent shooter Rodney Hood and reliable rebounder Trevor Booker and it's hard to imagine Lyles seeing significant time on the court during his first year in the NBA.
