Jets tickets up less than 2 percent on secondary market

Despite a busy offseason, demand for New York Jets tickets has only slightly increased on the secondary market.

Tickets on TiqIQ are selling for an average price of $198.77 across the Jets' eight regular-season home games for 2015, just 1.6 percent more than what tickets were selling for on average ($195.64) on the secondary market ahead of last season, according to Jesse Lawrence of Forbes.

However, Lawrence notes there was a similar sense of optimism surrounding the Jets at this point last year. Hope quickly dissipated, though, and the team finished at the bottom of the AFC East with a 4-12 record.

To no surprise, the most expensive Jets home game on the secondary market this season is their Week 15 matchup against the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. Tickets are currently selling for an average of $237.55.

The second-most expensive Jets home game on the secondary market is a Thursday Night Football matchup against Rex Ryan and the Buffalo Bills in Week 10. The current average price of those tickets is $212.17.
