Report: NFLPA files complaint against Patriots over Malcolm Butler suspension
The New England Patriots could be looking at more punishments this offseason.
On Wednesday, the NFLPA filed a formal complaint against the Patriots on behalf of cornerback Malcolm Butler, who was suspended for missing a voluntary offseason workout, according to ESPN. The complaint was filed without Butler's approval.
Butler missed a flight on May 26, causing him to miss an OTA session. He was reportedly suspended for three weeks of on-field activities because of his absence. The union is arguing Article 21 in the CBA, which states a player can't be punished for missing a voluntary workout.

The 25-year-old became a star overnight after intercepting Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson late in Super Bowl XLIX, securing the victory for the Patriots.
