Canadiens' Price reportedly played through injury during playoffs

A day after Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price swept the NHL Awards, further news shined light on just how much of a battler he really is.

Price was the backbone of the Canadiens this past season, leading the way in the regular season and the playoffs, but the 27-year-old might have been doing so while dealing with an injury.

The Canadiens netminder played through a small injury during the postseason, Canadiens goaltending coach Stephane Waite told Marc Antoine Godin of La Presse.

The injury was not significant enough to keep Price out of the lineup, but enough to where he wasn't 100 percent.

This year's Vezina Trophy winner still managed to compile a .920 save percentage and a 2.23 goals-against average in the postseason. This just goes to show that an injured Carey Price is still better than many other healthy goalies.
