A pair of armbands will reportedly be offered to Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino will attempt to secure the two players' loyalty to the club by offering them a pair of captaincy positions, according to The Telegraph. Lloris is apparently set to receive the full captaincy, while Kane is poised to be appointed vice-captain and promised the full captaincy once the French 'keeper departs White Hart Lane.

The end of April saw a report emerge that claimed Manchester United have already eyed Lloris as a replacement for David De Gea, who is allegedly on the verge of joining Real Madrid, having already told his teammates he's leaving Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Kane - who continues to be linked to United - was forced to once again state his intentions for next season on Friday, saying: "I am happy at Spurs and I look forward to the future with Spurs."

In what was a puzzling move, Pochettino appointed Younes Kaboul as Tottenham's captain last season, and named Lloris and Emmanuel Adebayor as joint vice-captains.

It's also worth noting that Kane captained Tottenham last season when Lloris was injured.
