Bears' Jay Cutler clarifies wife's comments about Chicago

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is used to answering tough questions about his play on the field, but on Saturday he was facing a different kind of heat.

Cutler's wife, Kristin Cavallari, recently told Elle Magazine that "Chicago's just not home" and that the family plans to move to Nashville once Cutler's contract expires.

Michael Rothstein of ESPN caught up with Cutler at Jim Harbaugh's football camp in Michigan and the quarterback said his wife's comments were taken out of context.

"We have family in Chicago," Cutler said. "We have a house in Chicago. Our roots are in Chicago. We love being there."

Cutler's been wildly inconsistent during his time in the Windy City, but his contract likely assures he'll be with the team at least through 2016. The signal caller is already guaranteed $10 million for the 2016 campaign.

With only one playoff appearance while Cutler's been at the helm, the organization is certainly growing impatient with his play. If Cutler doesn't deliver in a big way over the next two years, he'll likely be looking for a new city to call home.
