Buccaneers considering using virtual reality to help Jameis Winston's development

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are turning to a unique technology to try to help quarterback Jameis Winston acclimate himself to the NFL.

Winston is trying to learn the most complicated position in the game and the Bucs are considering using a virtual reality device to help.

"It might be good for Jameis," Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter told Alex Marvez of FOX Sports. "He is a film junkie. We have looked into that."

The Dallas Cowboys have used something similar this offseason, which allows the quarterback a 360-degree view from behind center.

Koetter sees the value in it, as long as the technology is ready immediately.

"What I tell vendors that come in to show us stuff is that we need it today," Koetter said. "Some people tell us, 'This will be ready in three months. I say, 'No, Jameis needs this tomorrow.'"

Tampa has a lot invested in Winston and it's clear they are willing to do whatever it takes to help him turn the franchise around as soon as possible.
