Smith said Wednesday that he's leaning toward opting out of his contract for next season, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.

Analysis:

Smith is set to make $6.4 million next season if he exercises his player option, but after a successful half-season in Cleveland, he'll likely test the market in hopes of landing a longer-term deal. While Smith was atrocious in six Finals games, he shot better than 45 percent from the field through the first three rounds, and Cleveland will probably attempt to bring him back at the right price.
