Report: Manchester City makes improved, £35-million bid for Raheem Sterling
Manchester City are taking another run at Raheem Sterling after submitting a second bid for the Liverpool midfielder.
The persistent Premier League club have increased their bid to £35 million, plus £5 million in add-ons, in an attempt to change Liverpool's mind about letting the 20-year-old leave, according to Sky Sports.
Liverpool reportedly rejected City's £25 million bid last week.
City's latest offer will likely be their last after revealing they will not go any higher, meaning Liverpool would have to accept a lower bid than they originally estimated.
The increased bid comes two days after reports suggested Chelsea joined the race for Sterling's signature. The Premier League champions, however, are not willing to meet Liverpool's reported £50 million asking price either.
