Nowitzki amazed by LeBron's finals performance

Future Hall-of-Famer Dirk Nowitzki has submitted his application to the LeBron James Appreciation Society.

Nowitzki, crowned Finals MVP for his contributions to his team's 2011 championship run, delivered high praise to King James ahead of Game 6.

Speaking with the Star-Telegram's Dwain Price on Tuesday, Dirk further applauded James' postseason brilliance:

Really, I'm just amazed about what LeBron is doing. I think Golden State was the heavy favorites for everybody before it even started, and then Kyrie went down and LeBron still - no K-Love, no Kyrie - is keeping them in this series by playing at an unbelievable level, by basically pick-and-rolling, isolating or posting every time down. He's the one guy that creates shots for everybody else, and what he's been doing has been incredible.

Still, despite The Chosen One's masterstrokes, Nowitzki feels that James should not be awarded the finals MVP award should the Cavaliers fall to the Warriors in their pursuit for their first championship in franchise history.

Nowitzki is not the only one who has taken a stance against replicating Jerry West's 1969 losing-effort MVP honor - LeBron himself recently stated that he is solely focused on the championship trophy and not the aforementioned individual accolade.
