Carlos Tevez's future at Juventus in doubt

Bad news has been coupled with good after Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta indicated Carlos Tevez's time with the Serie A champs is likely over.

Despite being under contract for another season, the Argentine forward looks destined for a move away from Juventus Stadium after being linked with transfers to Boca Juniors and Atletico Madrid.

While most predicted Andrea Pirlo, 36, as the most obvious player to depart, Marotta thinks otherwise.

"The possibility that (Tevez) leaves is quite high but I'm not going to give a percentage," Marotta revealed to Sport Mediaset, courtesy of Sky Sports.

"It's more likely that he will leave than Andrea Pirlo. Tevez is a professional and we owe him a lot.

"But we cannot prolong Tevez's situation for much longer. We must reach a conclusion as soon as possible."

Alvaro Morata, however, looks to be a pillar in Massimiliano Allegri's vision of repeating last season's successes following a series of critical goals for the Bianconeri in the final months of the season.

The 22-year-old striker, who was loaned to Juve from Real Madrid last summer, scored five goals in 12 Champions League appearances, including the game-tying goal against Barcelona in the Champions League final.

Though he's been rumoured to return to Madrid, Morata appears happy at Juve and will feature in Allegri's side for at least another year.

"Alvaro will continue at Juventus until at least 2016 and then we shall see," Marotta said.
