Kobe Bryant: Hopes to Shoot in Coming Months

Bryant (shoulder) hopes to begin shooting within the next two or three months, Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Analysis:

In January, Bryant underwent surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder. If everything remains on schedule, he should return in time for training camp, but given Bryant's injury history over the last two seasons (41 total games played), he should be avoided in most leagues unless he drops into the mid-to-late rounds. Spending an early pick on a perpetually injured player often dooms fantasy basketball teams.
