Jrue Holiday, like many Americans, is quite passionate about rooting on the national women's soccer team as they compete in the Women's World Cup.

The New Orleans Pelicans guard just happens to have a more personal rooting interest in the squad than most: his wife, Lauren Holiday, is a starting midfielder on the team.

With the Americans opening their tournament against Australia on Monday, Jrue was part of a contingent of rabid American supporters who invaded Winnipeg.

Jrue and Lauren, a pair of UCLA alums, began dating seven years ago while they were both Bruins.
