Tiger-Cats' Gable injures hand, Bulcke may miss start of regular season

Hamilton Tiger-Cats running back C.J. Gable sustained a hand injury and could miss parts of the preseason.

Head coach and general manager Kent Austin commented on the injury.

"Looks like he got a little hand injury, it doesn't look like it's very major so we'll see what the doctor says," he said to reporters.

Austin also added that Gable won't play Monday and is not worried.

"He wasn't going to play a big role anyways (in Monday's game), I don't think its anything serious."

Drew Edwards of the Hamilton Spectator reports that Gable could miss up to four weeks, which would put him in danger of missing the start of the regular season.

In seven games last season, Gable recorded 138 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Edwards is also reporting defensive tackle Brian Bulcke may not be healthy in time to start the regular season.
