Brewers' Braun returns to lineup Saturday vs. Twins

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun will return to the lineup for Saturday's contest with the Minnesota Twins.

He'll hit third in manager Craig Counsell's lineup and play right field.

The slugger underwent a pre-planned cryotherapy procedure on his troublesome right thumb earlier this week, and was expected back at some point this weekend. Braun has had a nerve issue in the thumb, which causes numbness and impacts his ability to wield a bat, dating back to last year.

Braun was heating up, hitting .272 with eight home runs and 28 RBIs in May before falling off considerably in a pair of June games.
