George (calf) said he's been working out this offseason but is not quite 100 percent, Scott Agness of Vigilant Sports reports. "I'm back working out," George said. "I'm back punching that clock again and trying to pick up where I left off last summer. I'm doing everything I want. I'm not playing live action right now. That's going to take some time, but there's been no limitations to what I can do on the court."

Analysis:

George is now 10 months removed from the grisly compound fracture he suffered during a Team USA scrimmage last summer. The forward returned to play in six games at the end of the season, but he suffered a strained left calf in the Pacers' regular season finale. The injury has left him limited, but with several months before the start of training camp, George should be able to work his way back to 100 percent well before the fall. The question is whether George will be able to regain the athleticism that made him such an effective player prior to the broken leg.
