Sebastian Vettel: Out with Covid-19

Aston Martin's Vettel (illness) has tested positive for Covid-19 and will miss the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix, Formula1.com reports.

Analysis:

A very unfortunate set of circumstances for Vettel. The timing was terrible as well. The four-time world champion was set to kick off the 2022 season Sunday in Bahrain, but will now miss the season-opening Bahrain GP with Covid-19. The team's reserve driver, Nico Hulkenberg, will fill-in for Vettel in the team's Aston Martin. It will be his first action since the 2020 Eifel Grand Prix.
