Analysis:

Matthews' recovery from a torn Achilles has been reported on frequently, but the fact of the matter remains that he is working his way back from one of the most serious injuries NBA players suffer, and the odds are against Matthews getting back to an All-Star level production-wise. He is also an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and it remains unclear if he'll try to secure a deal during his recovery or wait until he proves his health to sign a deal. It would be surprising if Matthews is ready for Opening Night next season,
