Jurgen Klopp will take sabbatical from managing 'until further notice'

Jurgen Klopp just wants some down time.

The Borussia Dortmund manager, who will relinquish his role at the club this summer, confirmed Monday that he will not be looking for a new job to immediately fill the void, deciding instead to take a sabbatical.

"After seven intense and emotional years of "real love" ("echte liebe," a motto often used by Dortmund) I think it makes sense to digest the numerous memories before my staff and I take on a new task fresh and full of energy," Klopp said in a statement. "I'm going to take a break until further notice."

The excitable 47-year-old, who joined Dortmund in 2008 before leading the club to consecutive Bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012, announced in April that he would be leaving the Westfalenstadion.

Since that time, rumors have swirled around his next possible destination, with a host of clubs reportedly interested in his services. Unfortunately for them, they'll now have to wait.
