Football fans will have a behind-the-scenes look at the Houston Texans' training camp and preseason work later this summer, as the club has been selected to appear on HBO's "Hard Knocks."

"We are thrilled to partner with HBO and NFL Films to give fans unprecedented access to our team and organization," Texans owner Bob McNair said in the NFL's official release.

"The 'Hard Knocks' documentaries do a tremendous job of displaying how an NFL team prepares for the upcoming season. We look forward to showcasing the Houston Texans to a worldwide audience."

Though some teams are hesitant to appear on the all-access reality series for a number of different reasons, including the distraction the program's production can create, doing so seems like a decent fit for the Texans at this point.

Featuring several star players, including J.J. Watt and Arian Foster, and fielding a team that appears capable of getting back to playoff contention, Houston will be an intriguing team to follow heading into the 2015 season.

The five-episode 10th season of "Hard Knocks" is set to begin Aug. 11.
