Dane Cameron: Joins Porsche Penske Motorsport

IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship-winning drivers Felipe Nasr and Cameron have been named as the first two signings for Porsche's factory LMDh program, sportscar365.com reports.

Analysis:

The veteran duo are the first drivers to sign with the upstart Porsche LMDh program. Cameron and Nasr will spend 2022 in development and testing in the new car with Porsche Penske Motorsport ahead of a 2023 on-track debut. The team will compete in both FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Cameron comes over from Meyer Shank Racing and has past experience with Penske in an Acura prototype.
