Atlanta Falcons linebacker Brooks Reed could miss the start of organized team activities next week due to a groin injury, according to ESPN's Vaughn McClure.

Reed sustained the groin ailment during the Falcons' minicamp.

The 28-year-old recorded 41 tackles and an interception for the Texans in 16 games last season. Reed missed a mere four games throughout his professional career, with all of his absences coming in 2012.

Entering the 2015 campaign, Reed is slated to start at inside linebacker and O'Brien Schofield is likely to take his repetitions if he's held out of OTAs for a prolonged period.
