Reds shuffling rotation, Cueto expected to miss next start due to sore elbow

Frank Victores / USA TODAY Sports

Cincinnati Reds manager Bryan Price is shuffling his starting rotation due to an injury to his staff ace.

Cuban righty Raisel Iglesias will now pitch Sunday versus the Cleveland Indians, as Johnny Cueto is expected to miss his next start due to a sore elbow.

Cueto - who is 3-4 with a 3.03 ERA and 0.96 WHIP in nine starts - called out his teammates following his last start for a lack of run support. Price is calling Cueto day-to-day at this point.

Iglesias is 1-0 with a 3.94 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in four appearances. The 25-year-old hasn't started a game since May 13 when he tossed eight innings of one-run ball to pick up the win over the Atlanta Braves.

The Reds (18-23) have dropped six straight games heading into action Saturday.
