Valtteri Bottas: Leads FP3 at Qatar

It was advantage Mercedes ahead of the inaugural Qatar Grand Prix qualifying session, with Bottas carrying over his impressive form from Friday to lead a dominant one-two for the Silver Arrows in Free Practice 3 ahead of Lewis Hamilton - with Red Bull's Max Verstappen over three-tenths adrift of the Finn in P3, Formula1.com reports.

Analysis:

After getting off to a slow start, Free Practice 3 would get rolling and see Bottas set the pace. The Team Mercedes veteran put down a lap of 1:22,310 by improving his pace in the final minutes of the session. Bottas edged Hamilton by just 0.078-seconds to turn the fastest lap of final practice. He'll be a podium threat in Sunday's Qatar GP.
