Danica Patrick wins Sprint Fan Vote

Danica Patrick won the Sprint Fan Vote after Friday night's Sprint Showdown, allowing her to join the field for the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race on Saturday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The 33-year-old became the first person to win the Fan Vote twice, claiming her first win in 2013.

Since 2004, the year the Sprint Fan Vote started, only one driver has won the vote and then gone on to win the race - Kasey Kahne back in 2008.

If Patrick wins the race on Saturday night, not only will she win the $1-million grand prize, but she'll also earn her first trip to Victory Lane of the 2015 season.

Last weekend at the SpongeBob SquarePants 400, Patrick finished 27th, the same spot she qualified in. Her best finish of the season was seventh at Martinsville Speedway.
