Dani Carvajal: Real Madrid 'said goodbye' to league title with draw vs. Valencia

Dani Carvajal has, essentially, thrown in the towel. At least the Real Madrid defender is a realist.

Following his side's 2-2 draw against Valencia on Saturday, a result which saw Los Blancos drop four points behind Barcelona for top spot in La Liga with only two matches remaining, Carvajal admitted what the rest of the football world is thinking: the race for the Spanish title is over.

"At home we couldn't slip up, we've done that and we say goodbye to the league," the right-back said, according to the BBC. "It's painful because we wanted to fight until the final day, although we'll keep on doing that."

Honesty. What a pleasant change.
