Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney was forced to leave Saturday's match against Crystal Palace after failing to overcome an injury suffered in the first half.

Rooney appeared to pick up a leg injury after suffering a hit on his left thigh and was replaced by Radamel Falcao after halftime.

Luckily, the injury doesn't appear to be serious as Louis Van Gaal indicated Rooney was taken out as a precaution.

Rooney joined Luke Shaw as an early substitute after the left back was forced to leave the match with an unspecified injury.
