VIDEO: Brewers' Fiers tosses immaculate inning vs. Dodgers
Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Mike Fiers etched his name into the history books Thursday afternoon at Miller Park, salvaging an otherwise forgettable outing against the Los Angeles Dodgers with an impressive personal feat.
Despite allowing five earned runs over five frames, Fiers also became just the 72nd pitcher in history to record an immaculate inning when he struck out all three batters he faced on just nine pitches in the top of the fourth inning.

Fiers, a 22nd-round pick in the 2009 draft, is the first pitcher to accomplish the feat this season. Brandon McCarthy, then with the New York Yankees, was the last player to toss an immaculate inning when he fanned Wil Myers, Nick Franklin and Matt Joyce of the Tampa Bay Rays on nine pitches on Sept. 17, 2014.
