Eskimos president and CEO Len Rhodes' contract extended through 2019

The Edmonton Eskimos' outgoing chairman Bruce Bentley announced that president and CEO Len Rhodes' contract has been prolonged through December 2019.

Following a disappointing 2013 season, that saw the club finish with a 4-14 record, the organization - alongside the assistance of newcomer general manager Ed Hervey and head coach Chris Jones - turned things around in 2014.

The club's most recent campaign came to an end in the West Division final, falling short at the hands of the eventual Grey Cup winning Calgary Stampeders.

"Len's instilled a new vision and level of excitement in this organization over the last three seasons," Bentley said. "We're thrilled that he'll continue to call Edmonton home."

The extension comes two weeks after general manager Ed Hervey's contract was extended through 2017, and it is likely expected that an announcement regarding head coach Chris Jones' contract extension is also apparent in the coming weeks.
